What do you mean by Botox "touch ups" and "top ups"?

I am contemplating getting botox injections for my forehead and maybe around my eyes and I have read on the internet that sometimes botox "touch ups" and "top ups" become necessary. Could you tell me what these are exactly and in what situations do they become necessary?

Botox anti-wrinkle treatment may require "touch ups" within 30 days of treatment to correct any asymmetry in the results achieved. Touch ups are usually a smaller dose of Botox than the original Botox treatment that you had.
Botox effects usually wear off after 3-4 months and at that point if you wish to maintain the results, you will need "top ups" which is in fact full dose Botox treatment to maintain the results.
