Decayed wisdom tooth

Hi

I have been kept up all night tonight by my wisdom tooth on the bottom right which aches really badly especially when cold water passes over it.

I have taken paracetamol and neurofen and tried putting bonjela on my wisdom tooth but this decayed wisdom tooth is still hurting. My dentist says there is little point in trying to save the tooth because its really badly decayed.

My dentist referred me to the hospital for removal of this wisdom tooth over five weeks ago but I still have not heard from them. Are your emergency dentists able to remove this wisdom tooth today?
