What is the cost of a white filling?

Hi there

I'm a 31 year old female. My front tooth is chipped and it happened while playing tennis last week. It is now sensitive to air, and sensitive to hot and cold. It also looks bad!

Iv been to see my dentist and he suggested I have a porcelain crown placed. I want a second opinion as i feel this is a bit drastic. The dentist said a composite filling would be too weak !?

Could you please let me know if i can place a white filling on this front tooth and what cost i am looking at for the white filling?

Fractured front teeth can be builtup with composite veneers which are very conservative of tooth tissue. Cosmetic composite veneers range in cost between £195-£245.

Where a large part of the tooth has fractured off, a better solution would be a crown as its less likely to debond.
