Red face What to do with a broken front tooth

    Hello

I was playing Football this evening and accidentally another player hit me in the face with his hand and broke my front tooth almost completely.

I still have the piece of tooth that broke but now looking at my tooth, you see just the root and not much more of the tooth left behind. Also the tooth is very sensitive to air and bleeds a bit when I run my tongue over my tooth.

Could you tell me what I should do with my broken front tooth? What options do I have for this tooth? Can it be saved or do I now need a dental Implant?

Default What to do with a broken front tooth

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

Your tooth need to be assessed clinically to see whether it is savable or not. But from you have mentioned it seems the nerve house of your tooth is exposed which if so will need root canal treatment and then possibly a post and core build up and finally a crown.
We have had many of these cases and have been able to repair and stabilise the tooth very rapidly. In few cases even a bride just before wedding day has come in to our clinic with the same problems and we were able to send them to the isle looking good with no gaps or missing tooth. So we made their day!!
