Can I stick my dental crown back in with super glue?

Hi

I have a crown that keeps coming out and I have to see my dentist to have it stuck back in. I have seen him five times over the past six months for this crown and its becoming very costly.

I would like to know if I can stick my crown back in with super glue myself. I know I can put in back in the right place but I just would like to know if using superglue would be OK for sticking crowns back in?

Thank you for your question.

We do not recommend our patients to cement their crowns by superglue. There must be a reason for your crown to keep coming off. Either the foundation for the crown is not right or there is excessive loading on the tooth and the crown, causing it to come off. We need to see and assess your case clinically to be able to tell you more about it and we would be happy to do this for you.
