    Red face Loose dental bridge

    Hi

I have a bridge on my top front teeth which was made by my previous dentist almost twenty years ago. When I was eating breakfast this morning, I noticed that my bridge was loose. I rang my dentist but the receptionist said that she is on holiday for 2 weeks.

Could you tell me what I should do about this loose bridge? Should I leave it as it is for 2 weeks or do I need to see the emergency dentist to have it reattached?

Its not causing any pain bit could leaving the loose dental bridge as it is for 2 weeks cause any damage to the underlying teeth? Should I be concerned about my bridge or can I leave it as is for 2 weeks?

    Smile Loose dental bridge

A loose dental bridge should be assessed immediatley and treated as soon as possible. Leaving it as it is for 2 weeks, could lead to bacteria and food getting underneath the bridge and damaging the abutment tooth holding the bridge.

I would recommend that you call the emergency dentist on 0208 547 9997 to book a consultation as soon as possible.
