crown keeps coming out

Hello

I had my front tooth capped about 3 years ago. In this period of time the crown has come off five times and needless to say it has caused a lot of embarrassment for me as the tooth peg is left in full view.

I would like to know firstly if it is normal for a crown to come off so many times and secondly should I be asking my dentist to replace the crown with a new crown?

Dear Eric.
It is not normal for a crown to come off. you would need a new crown but maybe not by the same dentist.
