    Angry Wisdom tooth pain

I am in great pain at the moment and have been put on a waiting list to ave wisdom toth extracted in october but i am unable to sleep at the moment due to the pain, i have had course of nti biotics for the absess but they have finished and i am worried the absss is back (the pain is the indicator).

problem is I do not have the money to go private and bring the time forward, can you help with any suggestions at all?

    Many thanks

    Default Wisdom tooth pain

    HI,

    Thank you for your question.

I am sorry to hear that you are in so much discomfort and have wisdom tooth pain and you cannot have it extracted till October. The best option really for your pain is the extraction of the tooth asap and If I were you I would try to have extracted even if I had to borrow the money.

However some hints that might help. One is that keeping the site clean and regular moth wash with salt water and mouthwashes. Sometimes the pain is due to inflamed operculum, the overlying gum over the impacted or unerupted wisdom tooth. This can be caused by the opposing tooth at the top jaw and if so shaving the top tooth a bit might help the situation.
