    Smile Composite fillings

    Hi

I had a composite filling done last week on my middle lower right tooth. Since the filling has been done, I find it hard to bite on that tooth and it hurts pretty badly when I put pressure on that tooth.

I have seen my dentist today and he said that composite fillings can sometimes take some time to settle down. I am a bit worried because in the past whenever I have had white fillings, I have never had any problems afterwards.

I would like to know if at this point I should be worried, or simply wait for it to get better? Could it get better by itself or is there a risk it could get worst.

    Exclamation Composite fillings

Composite fillings can sometimes take a while to fully settle down. If after a while, the symptoms have not settled down, I would investigate to see if the tooth needs further treatment.

If you are concerned, book to see your dentist to reassess the tooth and see what the cause of pain could be. Without seeing the tooth, its difficult to say if it would get better or worst by leaving it as it is.
