    Arrow Emergency dental care

    Hi

I have broken my tooth on a piece of crusty bread over lunch. Unfortunately its a front crown and now there is just the root of the tooth left. I have tried to put the crown back in but it keeps falling out again. I am worried that the tooth has also broken underneath the crown and I don't know how a new crown would actually stay on the tooth? An added complication is that I am flying to Spain on Sunday.

So I really need to see somebody urgently for emergency dental care for now and then the rest of the treatment after I come back from holiday. Firstly, are you able to see me today or tomorrow for this tooth and what exactly can you do to stop the crown from falling out?

    Many thanks.

    Default Emergency dental care

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

Yes we can provide you with an emergency appointment today and assess your case and whatever the situation to provide you with a stable temporay solution to get you through your trip to Spain this Sunday.

It is not clear how bad the damage to the remaining of the tooth is but in general what we try to do is that if any part of the tooth is remaining and can provide a stable foundation for building up the tooth and then placement of a new crown, then we will do this. But if there is damage to the root of the tooth and we have a fractured root, then the tooth has very poor prognosis and may not be able to save it. but we need to see you and assess the situation before anything can be suggested for a definitive treatment.
