Broken one of my teeth!! Help!!

I had a bicycle acciddent two days ago and knocked one of my teeth quite badly, it seemed to be still in the socket okay but now it has gone a darker colour and is a bit wobbly. I spoke to my usual dentist over the phone and they said to call an emergency clinic and get an appointment as soon as possible because it needs reattaching properly or it might fall out. What do you recommend I do about this? I normally get treatment with the NHS so I’m not sure if I would be able to afford emergency care, how much would a procedure like this generally cost? Thanks.

Thank you for your post. Im sorry to hear you have had an accident and knocked your front tooth. You should see an emergency dentist as the tooth will need to be splinted to the teeth next to it with a wire and some composite. There is a chance the tooth will loose its vitality and therefore need root canal treatment to prevent pain and infection developing. To have an emergency consultation it costs £30 and to splint the tooth it will cost around £100.
