    Angry Emergency Dentists

    Hi

I have a throbbing toothache all weekend and it does not seem to be getting any better no matter how many pain killers I take. I have tried to put an ice pack on the side of my face, but the pain is still there.

I have called my dental practice, but they cant see me until tomorow. Are your emergency dentists able to see me immediately, if I drive down to the practice after work today. Are your emergency dentists able to give me a prescription for stronger pain killers than the ones I have got from the pharmacy?

Can your emergency dentists start the work at your clinic and can I then go back to see my own dentist to finish the treatment there?

    Unhappy Emergency Dentists

    Thank you for your post.

Our emergency dentists are able to see you tonight. We have two emergency dentists working all night tonight and so we should be able to see you without a long delay.

We are able to prescribe stronger pain killers than those available over the counter if you need stronger pain killers. Often toothache pain is caused by infection or inflammation and is unlikely to go away with pain killers alone and will probably need active dental treatment.

Our emergency dentists certainly can start active treatment tonight and you are more than welcome to go back to see your own dentist to complete the treatment. From our point of view, that is not a problem. We will provide you with a letter stating what emergency treatment has been carried out and what treatment needs to be done for your dentist to complete.

Please call the 24 hour emergency line on 0208 547 9997 to book an emergency dentist appointment.
