    Unhappy Emergency dental treatment

    Hi

I recently had some emergency dental treatment carried out whilst I was abroad to fix my broken tooth. The tooth was ok until I had some cake and it suddenly just broke off. The emergency dentist put some temporary dental material on the tooth and it has been ok since then. I have had no pain from the tooth.

I was wondering if I need to have a crown placed on this tooth or will a filling be enough? What would be the more long lasting treatment to have for this tooth?

    Post Emergency dental treatment

    Hi,

    Thank you for your post.

It is good to hear that you have not had much symptoms with the broken tooth but very clearly you need urgent treatment. From what you have said your tooth is disinteragating and need immediate attention and treament.

What form of restoration or filling is needed for your tooth has to be said once your tooth has been examined. It appear your tooth already is having a large hole and if this is the case it is more likely that you need cuspal coverage, otherwise also known as crown/ or inlay/ only.

I would suggest you to have youe tooth assessed as fast as possible beacuse you could develop symptoms with the tooth and if so your treatment will be much more complicated.

I am ver pleased to tell you that have a 24 hour emergency service at Pearl Dental Clinic and would be happy to see.
