Wisdom tooth pain

Hi

My first wisdom tooth is just begining to come through and its causing me a lot of pain. I have tried to take painkillers but they are not doing much to help me. I dont know what to do with this wisdom tooth pain.

Do you recommend that have I have my tooth removed or will the wisdom tooth pain eventually go away by itself. Is this amount of pain likely to happen again when all my other wisdom teeth start to come through as well?

Thank you for your post. The best wisdom teeth painkillers would be a NSAID such as Neurofen plus subject to you having no medical contraindications and allergies.

If the wisdom teeth pain persists, you should consider seeing a dentist to assess the reasons behind this pain. Wisdom teeth coming through can cause pain but this pain should settle down and if it is persistant it deserves further investigations.
