    Default recent filling toothache

having had a recent filling rear left lower molar the pain settled down, but this weekend its now back, the tooth is loose.the pain is down the left side of my thoart into my left ear as well as the tooth and along the jaw and into the sinusus.
Is it possible I may have an infection or possibly an abses?

    many thanks poleman

    Thank you for your post.

Pain that spreads to the neck, along the jaw and the ear could be due to pulpitis which is inflammation of the pulp (blood and nerve area) of a tooth. A loose tooth could be either due to infection or gum disease or even tooth fracture. Either way you do need to have the tooth looked at clinically and xrayed as soon as possible to see what is going on. You may need root canal treatment on that tooth.
