Thumbs down Gum grown into my tooth

    Hi

About three weeks ago, one of my fillings came out of my molar tooth and left a hole in my tooth. I was very busy with work, so I ignored it and because it was not hurting, I thought it could wait until the new year.

But over the last two days, I have noticed that my gum has grown into the hole where the filling used to be and now it looks like it has half covered the old cavity. I am still not getting any pain but when I try to clean the tooth, the overgrown gum bleeds a lot and I am worried that it might become infected.

Is there anything that can be done with this overgrown gum to stop it bleeding? Is there any mouthwash or medication that I can take to help stop the gum bleeding?

    Thank you for your post.

Over grown gum should be trimmed back with a soft tissue laser and this will then allow the tooth to be restored. You can try an antiseptic mouthwash such as corsodyl in the meantime and try to keep the area clean by using floss and an electric toothbrush.

gums have a tendency to grow in the space between 2 teeth..
Ask some dentist whos having a LASER to do GINGIVECTOMY for u ..
else any dentist can do with a scalpel but after that u;ll get sutures also for a week ..
