broken front tooth

Hi

My front tooth chipped a few years ago and my dentist placed a cap on my front tooth and said that the cap should last a good few years without any hassle. Unfortunately this morning my cap broke off on a piece of toast and has now left virtually a little peg of tooth which looks really scary when I look at it in the mirror. I am too embarrassed to even leave the house and would like to know if you can fix this broken front tooth today so that I can go back to work as normal on monday?
