Dental crown has come off

I was chewing some meat last night and my porcelain dental crown came off and luckily I managed to avoid swallowing it. The tooth is dead I think but I am not sure if the tooth can be saved because there seems to be a large hole in the tooth where the crown came off. I think it might be tooth decay but anyway the tooth is not sensitive just sharp if my tongue rubs against it. Can you tell me if you can glue this crown back on or if I would need some other treatment for this tooth. Will the emergency dentist be able to see me tonight to have a look at this tooth?

Yes our emergency dentist can see you tonight and take a look at the tooth and decide what treatment is best now. If the tooth has decay and is non-vital, root canal treatment will be necessary before a new crown is made. If the core of the tooth is fine then the crown can be recemented back tonight.
