Angry Sharp Orthodontic Wire cutting my cheek

    Hi

I am currently undergoing orthodontic treatment and my orthodontist has put some wires and train tracks on my teeth. Today one of the wires became loose and is cutting into my cheek.

Its very sore and painful and sometimes makes my cheek bleed when it touches the sharp wire. I have called the orthodontist clinic but because its bank holiday, they are closed until Tuesday.

Can I come to see your emergency dentist today or do I need to go back to see my own orthodontist?

    Lightbulb Sharp Orthodontic wire

    Hi

Thank you for your post. You will need to have the wire either reattached or removed for now and then go back to see your own orthodontist for the rest of the treatment.

Please call the 24Hour Emergency number (0208 547 9997) to arrange an emergency appointment today.
