Thumbs down Can a rough tooth crown be smoothed?

    Hi

I had a white crown fitted last week and my dentist had to adjust the crown because the crown was too big. At first the crown felt very smooth but after he adjusted it, it became quite sharp and rough. At the time I did not complain because I thought the crown will smoothen with time. However now a week on from that appointment and my crown still feels rough to my tongue when it rubs against it. Can a tooth crown be smoothed after its attached or does it need to be done again?

Cool Can a rough tooth crown be smoothed?

An unpolished dental crown can be polished chairside without any problems and you do not need to have the crown replaced. Ask your dentist to review it and I am sure he will do that for you.
