What can I do to stop my toothache?

I have not been able to sleep tonight due to a terrible toothache that I am experiencing from my wisdom tooth. I fell asleep earlier on tonight but then woke up later on in a lot of pain. I have tried paracetamol and neurofen but neither is making much of a difference and if anything the pain is getting even worst. The tooth just throbs and aches and is driving me mad. I have tried putting clove oil on it but that has not worked. The Nhs suggested swishing my mouth with cold water but that did nothing too. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can stop this toothache. Your help is very much appreciated.

Sounds like you have done everything that you can. In the end of day, instead of me telling you some old wives tale about treating toothache, I shall tell you that to the best of my knowledge, the best treatment for toothache is usually operative dentistry and for that you will need to see a dentist.
