    Thumbs down Throbbing premolar

    Hello

I have been in severe pain for the past 2 days and all the pain seems to coming from my lower premolar tooth. This tooth broke down last year and I have been very busy and left it as it was and up to now I have had no pain or discomfort from this tooth. However last couple of days, I have been taking every painkiller that I could find but this tooth keeps throbbing and pulsating and the pain just does not stop. I think the tooth is my premolar and there is not much of it left and when I touch it with my tongue it moves a little bit. Is there anything that can be done for this tooth or does it need to be removed?

    Cool Throbbing premolar

    Thank you for your question.

Without seeing your tooth I cant say if it can be saved or not. However even if there is a root remaining, it might be possible to root fill the root and rebuild the tooth up with a post and dental crown.

    Please call the emergency dentist on-call on 0208 547 9997 or 0208 481 0003 to book a consultation.
