Unhappy My dental veneer has split in two pieces

    Hi

I had a dental veneer put on my front tooth a few years after the tooth was damaged in an accident. The veneer was very nice in colour and I had no problems from it over the last few years. Tonight, whilst I was dinning out the veneer split into two pieces and both pieces came out. I was lucky not to swallow any of it. Could you tell me if its possible to glue this veneer back in or do I need to have a new porcelain veneer? If a new veneer is needed how much does it cost and how quickly can it be made?

    Thank you for your question.

Unless the broken pieces of veneer perfectly fit the tooth, its unlikely that we will be able to recement your current broken veneer. However we can make you a temporary veneer that can make the tooth look ok whilst the final veneer is made.

In any case, please bring in the broken pieces of veneer as we may be able to use it for the temporary veneer fabrication. For dental emergencies such as these, please call the dentist on-call on 0208 547 9997 or 0208 481 0003.
