My teeth and gums hurt

I was kept up all night with horrible pain in my top right hand side teeth. Its starts from my 'fang' tooth back to where my wisdom tooth is trying to come through. The gums all round them are really sore and red too. I have had both wisdom teeth below removed as they were not coming through properly could this be wisdom tooth pain or something else. It is worse at night as my whole right side of my head hurts. I have been given an nhs appointment its over a week away and the doctor cant see me till end of the week. I havent been able to go to university tody is there any over the counter pain reliefi can get?

Wisdom tooth pain can spread and appear as though its coming from the teeth further in front of it. You will need to have your wisdom tooth assessed to see what the exact cause of this pain is.

You should contact the NHS dental clinic that you are registered with and ask them to see you urgently as this problem is a dental emergency. If the tooth is infected, it may need to be removed or treated with antibiotics.

In the mean time, NSAID drugs such as Ibuprofen are effective at managing dental pain in the short term as long as you have no medical contraindications to them.
