What is the chance of success with dental implants?

Hi

I have been wearing a plate for the past few years due to losing a tooth in an accident. The plate is bulky and covers the roof of my mouth and has changed the way that I talk. So I am looking to have it changed to something less bulky.

I have read about implants with some dentists claiming that they have a 100% success rate with dental implants. Could you tell me what are the chances of success with dental implants?

Are dental implants really 100% successful or are there dental implants that dont work and fail? I would rather know the true success rate because I dont want to spend a lot of money if the success rate is low.

In short dental implants can have a very high success rate. It may not be 100% but it is not far from it and in our practice we have a success rate of 95-98%. What makes an implant successful and minimize the risk of failure depends on many factors . Some are patient related and depends on the how good they are maintained and the other factors depends on the quality of the materials used and the type of implants used and the operator/surgeon.
Some of the other factors include the planing of the treatment and how well it is completed.
