Front teeth genetically missing

I’m a 25yr old male and have always had two missing front teeth. I have been told it’s a genetic thing. Currently I have two sticky bridges where the tooth gaps are.

Although the appearance is fairly good, the bridges don’t seem strong enough to last me a lifetime, after all they are only glued into place!

I want to have a more long term tooth replacement. I have been considering implants. I don’t know very much about them though, for example implant suitability, implant procedure, the cost of implants and most importantly the success rate for implants.

I would be grateful if you would explain the above to me.

We will to examine your mouth first to make sure that you have enough space and bone for implants. As long as enough bone and space exists and you have no medical contraindications to dental implants, placing implants would consist of:

1. Planning of implant treatment
2. The surgical placement of implants
3. The implant integration phase and gum contouring with temporary crowns and abutments.
4. Loading the implants with final abutments and crowns.

Studies show that success rate with dental implants is in the region of 90% plus over 10 years. Things like smoking, bone disease, poorly controlled diabetes, active gum disease and occlusal trauma increase the risk of implant failure and should be addressed before any implant treatment is carried out.
