I hate my poor fitting dentures

Hello

I have been to see lots of nhs dentists and all of them have only provided me with poor fitting dentures. I have difficulty eating with dentures and difficulty speaking with dentures as my dentures move. I have no teeth on the top, and two at the bottom.

I am a pensioner, so I cannot afford to pay thousands and thousands of pounds but I am now prepared to pay for private dentures. Also I have heard that implants hold dentures better and implant dentures sound like they might stay in my mouth better than dentures alone.

Please let me know how much you charge for dentures and implants. Also can I spread the cost of dental treatment treatment? One other thing, I am 76, could I have dental implants at my age or is too late now?

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry to hear about your dentures and you not being able to use them and it seems implants are the solution for your problem and it definitely is not too late for you to have implants. We have had even older patients and now they enjoy their life much more after being able to eat better because of their implants.

I cannot tell you how much your treatment will be without examining you but as a guide for top jaw you will need minimum of 4 implants to effectively retain your denture. Very likely the lower jaw is the same and will need the same treatment. The price of each implant placed by the specialist is £1690 and the denture is in order of £1000. Having said this really we need to see you for an accurate examination and assessment of the cost.
