    Wink Front tooth removed

I went to see the dentist last week and have been told i need to have my front tooth removed! Now that really horrifies me. I am 48, and so you can see why. It would really shatter my confidence if i had to walk around with a missing tooth at the front.

I had root canal treatment in the tooth many years ago. It still infected so i even had an apicectomy. Now its painful again and i have a dental infection so the dentist says my tooth has to go.

I need advise urgently. Is there any way i can save my tooth still. I have heard about implants and i am interested in dental implants. Will i have to go around with a gap?

    Default Front tooth removed

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

No you do not need to walk with a gap and there are many options like dentures, bridges and implants. I cannot tell which option will be the best choice without examining you.

From the description you have given about your tooth it appear that this tooth has reached the end of its time and very likely the prognosis is poor for it. However we would be happy to see you and assess your tooth if you wish and give you the best advice.
