Hi
Both of my upper lateral incisors were missing and when I was a teenager, my orthodontist recommended that I have implants when I am older and so my dentist made me a temporary plate which I have had since I was 15.
I am now 21 and would like to know what my options are for replacing my missing teeth? Should I have implants or do I have any other options? My only worry about implants is the surgery part of it which puts me off them a little but if Implants are the best solution, then I am willing to have implants.
If I decide to have dental implants, how long does the Implant treatment take? Roughly how much does implant treatment cost and would I need any sedation for the implant procedure?

Missing lateral incisors
Hi,
Thank you for your question.
The options you have are denture, bridges and implants for replacing your missing lateral incisors and the best option short and long terms will be implants.
Whether you need sedation it depends how nervous you are but can I just explain that the surgery for having implants done a lot of times is even easier than having routine dentistry or extraction of the teeth done. So it is not as bad as a lot of people think.
The length of the procedure is usually depends to how much bone is present and at what level. But if all is fine treatment is usually completed within 4 months. The cost are all well published in our web site and implants themselves start from £1395 each.Dr Vahid Motahar BSc BDS (London) MFDS RCS (England)
