Implant crown

Hi

I have decided to have a Straumann dental implant to replace my missing tooth at the top front of my mouth. I am undecided as to what sort of implant crown I should have on top of the implant.

I have read the traditional metal underneath porcelain crowns would be the strongest crowns but on other hand some places say that the all ceramic crowns look more natural but are more expensive.

Could you tell me which type of material you would recommend for a front implant crown?

With Straumann implants the type of the implant used plays an important role in determining the type of crown suitable for the implant. For example, tissue level implants are not suitable to have all ceramic crowns and these type of implants suits the bone level implants better.

So the best type of crown for your implant is in a way determined by the type of implant used in this case. Having said this you must note that the all ceramic crowns a lot of times are suggested for better aesthetic result and one really wish to improve on the aesthetic, it is not just the crown they need to consider but also to think of the type of abutment because better results aesthetically is achieved by ceramic and crown
