Smile I have two missing teeth, Should I have one or two dental implants?

    Hi

I have two missing teeth in the middle of my lower jaw and I have decided that I wish to have the gaps replaced with implants. I have seen two implantologists who have both suggested different plans for this gap.

One dentist suggested having one implant with a bridge on top to replace the two teeth gap, the other dentist suggested two implants with two separate crowns on top of them. Apparently I have enough bone to have one or two dental implants.

I would like to know, if you would recommend one implant and a bridge or two separate implants with two separate crowns. Also if you could give me a rough idea of cots involved for both options.

    Many thanks

Default I have two missing teeth, Should I have one or two dental implants?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

Ideally you should have a maximum load of one and half tooth on each implant. Although there are some people suggesting that you can put a 2 unit implant on 1 implant but at Pearl Dental Clinic we follow the above suggestion. Therefore a three unit bridge will be ideal to place on 2 implants but a 2 unit bridge on 1 implant is not as an ideal a solution and we suggest 2 implants supporting 2 teeth. Having said that a lot depends on clinical findings and some times may be possible to change these without compromising the situation.

Cost wise all our prices are published on the website. If implant is placed by oral surgeon will be £1695 and by general dentist will be £1395 each. Cost slightly higher for the bridge unit.
