    Wink Alternative to the dentures

    Hi

I have full top and bottom dentures which move about when I eat and speak and irritate me when I out with friends because I am worried that they may fall out when I am speaking.

I use plenty of denture glue but it gets very messy and I have to constantly put denture glue just to keep the dentures in my mouth. Also food gets underneath the dentures and alters my speech and is very distressing.

I would like to know what alternatives do I have to dentures? I know that dental implants are probably my only option, because I have no teeth left but how many implants will I need and what will go on top of the implants?

    Default Alternative to the dentures

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

As you have mentioned yourself the alternative to your loose dentures is either implant retained dentures or implant retained bridges. The first option with dentures require less number of implants and therefore is a cheaper option. The implant retained bridge requires more number of implants and hence more expensive option but it has the advantage that the bridge is not removable and permanently stays in the mouth.
We would be happy to see you for further assessment and discussions on these options.
