Cool How Painful is Implant Surgery?

I need a dental Implant for my front tooth. The tooth was root filled several years ago, but unfortunately the root filling became bad a few months ago and so I had to have the tooth removed.

Can you honestly tell me how painful the implant surgery will be?

Before Implant Surgery is carried out, the surgeon will usually anaesthetize the surgical site with local anaesthetic so profusely that you will not be able to feel any pain during the procedure. During the surgical placement, you will still hear the drills and feel the pressure against your jaws but it should be completely painless.

As with most surgical procedures, after the LA has worn off at home, there will be some pain, swelling and inflammation caused by the surgery. Your oral surgeon will have most likely recommended that you take certain pain killers to reduce after pain and the pain usually settles down after a day or two.
