    Arrow False teeth

    Hi there

I have bad gum disease which has effected 3 teeth at the bottom of my mouth. I have been to my dentist today and she suggests false teeth which I am trying to avoid because of my age (30) She also mentioned that a mould may make the teeth fall out and that I would be without for ten days which I am devastated about (due to work and insecurity issues, I cant be without them) if I was too consider your implants, could I keep my teeth until then and how quickly can it be done??

Also would it be a problem with the sore gums etc ????

    Default False teeth

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

The present teeth that you are considering to have replaced with implants have to be removed first and allow the gum and the extraction site to heal and be infection free before implants can be placed. So i am afraid it is not possible to keep the teeth until implants are placed and teeth must be removed first.

But you should not worry about not having any teeth once your teeth are extracted. We always provide our patients with temporary measure to have extracted teeth in the smile zone replaced until implants are completed. One of the options is wearing immediate dentures and in some cases where possible some temporary bridges can be placed (this is however is not always possible). But no doubts there will be some teteh and you do not need to worry about your smile and aesthetics and going to work.

The implant procedure is relatively simple and is not as bad as a lot of people think and in many cases it is even easier than extraction of the teeth.
