Adding more teeth to implants

I have two implants now and am wondering if I ever have to have more on my bottom teeth there's a chance of using the same posts for all the implants if a new post is implanted on the other side. The expense and ordeal of the first ones will make me think long and hard before getting more. I guess I'm just trying to plan ahead.
