Question How long does bone grafting take to complete?

    Hello

I have been told that I will need bone grafting in order to have a top front tooth dental implant and that it could take many months for it to take and only then I can have my dental implant. I would like to know whats the average time that bone grafts need to take and if there is anything that can be done to speed this process up, such as taking any special medication or having a certain diet?

Bone grafts that are derived from your own bone can be ready as soon as 4months post grafting. Bone grafts that are derived from bovine bone or from a human donor bone tissue bank usually need around 6 months to be ready for dental implant placement. I am not aware of any medications or diets that can speed up bone grafting but if anyone is aware of any, please let us know.
