Missing front tooth

I lost my lower front middle tooth in an accident last year. The NHS gave me a plate which I have been wearing everyday since then. Unfortunately the dental plate is very uncomfortable and it has reduced my confidence as I worry that it might come out when I am speaking to people.

Also I find it very difficult to eat with this denture as the denture is not very stable. I have tried using denture adhesive but its very messy and I constantly have to put more adhesive on my denture.

My NHS dentist suggested getting a dental implant but he said that it will not be available on the NHS. I am happy to go private for the dental implant as I dont think I can cope with a denture much longer.

Could you tell me what the procedure will be for getting a dental implant to replace the missing front tooth and how long it will take as I wish to put away this denture as soon as possibe. Could you also pleas tell me roughly how much a single dental implant will cost?
