Unhappy temporary implant crown has come out

    Hi

I am here on holiday in London right now and unfortunately my implant temporary crown has come loose and I am worried that it might break. I have for now stuck it back in with toothpaste but it moves when I eat and I am worried that this might damage the dental implant underneath. Do you think, I will need to have a new temporary crown or can this crown be kept for now until I get back home?

Thank you for your post. If the temporary crown still fits well, it can be recemented to the dental implant. If it does not fit well or is broken, then it may need to be remade. Generally speaking implant temporary crowns usually have a good fit to the implant underneath unless it has broken in some way. A broken temporary implant crown is not unusual. We will need to see your implant crown to see if its fit for recementation or not.
