Affordable dental implants

Hi

I need two lower front dental implants and I have been researching into affordable dental implants. Could you tell me what is the difference between the cheaper affordable dental implants and the premium dental implants such as Straumann?

If I go for the affordable dental implants are there any risks associated with that? If my cheaper implants fail what sort of problems could that cause?

Thank you for your post. There are well over 1000 brands of dental implants available at the moment. Only a few of these have sufficient research and development behind them and many are simply cheap copies of old implant designs.

The top two world dental implant manufacturers, Straumann and Noble Biocare have spent a lot of money researching into new implant design and surface structure. As a result they have produced amazingly advanced dental implants with a lot of research and clinical data to back their implant designs and surface structures. These two companies also use amazingly precise manufacturing process's in manufacturing these premium implants.

So looking at the high end research, development and manufacturing of these implants, as a clinician we feel that we have confidence in these premium implants delivering results for our patients.

Also as these two brands are the world's biggest brands, should an implant placed now need spare parts in 20 years, we would be happy to say that the spare parts will be available to repair these implants as these implants are so widely used. Some of the less known brands may not even be around in 20 years.
