    Cool New dental implants

Hi. I just had 3 new dental implants placed to replace my top front teeth which had been lost due to gum disease and I am concerned about the gaps that I notice between the implants and the gums. Sometimes bits of food get stuck underneath the implants and when dinning outside, I have to constantly worry that nothing is showing when I smile. Should I be worried about these gaps or is this situation normal with new implants and in time resolves itself?

    Thumbs up New dental implants

I dont know if you currently have temporary crowns/bridge on your implants or permanent crowns/bridge on your implants. With temporary crowns its normal to have some gaps between the gums and the the temporary crowns as the point of temporary crowns is to reshape the gums and this takes time.

Even with permanent crowns, one can get black triangles between the dental implant crowns as this is very diffcult to correct wth multiple side by side implants. However if you are getting food packing underneath your implant permanent crowns, its worth going back to see the dentist who placed the implant crowns for a review.
