    Post Implant at wrong angle

I am 72 and in reasonable health but also a pensioner. My exsisting dentist has twice made mistakes with my two last crowns. I am concerned with a front crown that came out recently within a year of fitting. It turns out to be that on the preperation work he fitted the spike implant in at an angle hence through the gum.

He has since retired and his replacement tells me that he cannot refit the crown as it will come out again and, that there is only one solution, a plate.

The ceown is in excellent condition but does have the bent spike in place, but is a perfect fit. Can you help me at reasonable cost as i do not want a plste yet. I have been reading your web sight

Red face Implant at wrong angle

I think you may be referring to a post-crown that has perforated your root and not a dental implant. We will need to see you to see exactly what has happened. However if its a post-crown where the post has perforated the root and come through into the gum, then I am affraid your dentist maybe right in saying that you will need to have the tooth removed.

Once the tooth is removed, depending on the clinical picture, a dental implant, bridge or a denture could be provided to replace the tooth.
