Teeth in a day

Hello

I have a few teeth remaining in mouth and these teeth are just about hanging on to my gums. A gum specialist has said that they all need to be removed and I will have to have full plates fitted. I know my own mother used to wear full plates and she hated them and I really don't wish to have plates even for a day let alone for the rest of my life. The gum specialist says that I probably lost the gum support around my teeth through hereditary gum disease. I have looked for a solution on the net and have seen that its possible to have teeth fitted in a day. Is that possible in my situation and how much would it cost to have a full set of fixed teeth fitted in a day.
