front tooth implant

I have had a front tooth crown for a number years which has finally deteriorated, and beyond repair. The crown snapped off of its pin this week, leaving a stump. My dentist has recommended an implant, his cost I think is ecxcessive compared to the service you are offering. My dentist has also said the implant is straight foreward, there are no problems with bone structure or gums. That being the case, can you confirm the stepwise time scale, and total cost for me before I make an appointment.

The procedure for your implant treatment will be as follows:

1. Consultation and treatment plan

2. Study models and impressions for temporary denture (Cost £250)

wait 1 week for temporary denture construction

3. Extraction of the root (Cost ~£150) and fit of denture

wait 6-8 weeks for soft tissue healing and clear up of any infection

4. Assess implant site and place implant if bone quality and quantity OK.

wait 8 weeks for bony-implant integration.

5. Crown placement +/- temporary crown/abutment first if needed.
