How many dental Implants do I need?

Currently I am wearing a full top denture but I still have most of my lower teeth in place. I lost most of my top teeth through gum disease and now I am forced to wear a full top denture.

I hate the denture, because I have to keep using denture glue and the thing makes me gag and keeps moving around when I am speaking or eating. I am now seeing a gum specialist regularly and she has fixed my bottom teeth and looks like they will be OK for a while.

I would like to know how many dental implants do I need in my top jaw for a full set of teeth. One dentist I saw recommended eight dental implants and the other dentist recommended four dental implants. There seems to be wide variation in cost between the two plans that I have received so far and this has left me confused as which plan will be better for my mouth.

How many dental implants do you think I will need and how does the payment system work in your clinic? Would I have to pay for everything upfront or can I apply for finance and spread the cost?

If you are looking to have an Implant retained removable denture, you will usually need 4 implants to support the denture. If you are looking to have an implant retained fixed bridge, you will need six to eight implants.
