Will I be left without a tooth?

Hi

I am considering having two implants placed to replace my wobbly front teeth. These teeth have been wobbly for a long time, but I could not accept losing them. Things have reached the point that these teeth are so wobbly that they are going to fall out anytime now.
I have been told that the implant procedure will take approx. 5 months. I would like to know if I will be left without teeth in this period?

Hi Tanya

You should be provided with a temporary denture or a temporary bridge through out the implant treatment. Implants need time to integrate and heal before they are loaded but we will not expect you to be toothless in the healing period.

The temporary denture/bridge will restore your smile in that healing period.
