After implant treatment, when can I return to work?

Hi

I would like to have a dental implant placed to replace my lost molar which was extracted by my dentist around two months ago after it cracked in half. He tried to save the tooth but the crack was too bad and the tooth had to be removed.

I am self employed and I need to keep the number of days that I need to take off work for having the implant done to a minimum.

Could you tell when can I return to work after the implant treatment? Do you do implant treatment on Saturdays? Do you think if I have the implant procedure done on a Saturday, I will be able to go back to work on Monday?

How much time for recovery is needed post implant placement again depends on the case and what was associated with the procedure. For a simple implant placement , if the implant is done on a saturday which is possible to do in our clinic, then you should be able to go back to work by Monday.

The recovery time post implant surgery is very short and it is in terms of a day or two unless major bone augmentation is carried out. In these cases or where there has been sinus lift or tabbing then few more days is needed for full recovery.
