Fans left wondering if Meg Ryan has had cosmetic treatment done

She might have denied ever going under the knife but that hasn’t stopped speculation that actress Meg Ryan has visited a cosmetic surgery to have facial fillers and Botox treatment in an attempt to hold back the hands of time. Viewers of the Tony Awards were surprised to see the 54-year-old looking distinctly different, with several areas of her face apparently enhanced by cosmetic injections.

Meg was in New York on Sunday to present an award at the event and the actress looked stunning in a floor-length peach dress, although viewers were more concerned with changes to her face than what she was wearing. Although she has declined to comment on the changes, Meg spoke to Porter Magazine last year about the speculation surrounding her appearance, calling the constant rumours ‘funny for five minutes’ but insisting that she is happy with her age and her life, and refusing to comment on whether she has actually been under the knife to alter her looks.

She told the publication that she is happy with the person she has ‘evolved into’ and now she feels at ease with her situation, something which she feels ‘comes with age’.

Bethenny Frankel says she gets Botox injections into her jaw

It’s probably no surprise that a reality star on the Real Housewives of New York is a fan of having cosmetic treatment, but Bethenny Frankel has revealed that instead of getting Botox injections to get rid of wrinkles, she has the treatment done into her jaw line, in order reduce the effects of a damaging case of Bruxism – grinding the teeth and clenching the jaw.

The 45-year-old admitted that she does look different because of the treatment but she told DailyMail.coms 2016 Newfront in New York that it is not for the reasons people think – fans of the show were speculating that the reality star had undergone invasive cosmetic treatment to change her face, when instead she has actually been getting Botox injections to deal with the grinding problem.

Bethenny explained that she started the injections three years ago at the suggestion of her dermatologist, because her jaw muscles were very tense and they were clenching the teeth together. The Botox injections have relaxed the muscles and softened the shape of Bethenny’s jaw line and she said that she was ‘excited’ by the improvement and added ‘ it think it’s why I can take a shorter haircut.’

Ryan Reynolds surprises fan after she posted wisdom tooth video

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds has rewarded a Deadpool fan with tickets to the movies premiere in New York City after she posted a heartfelt video of herself post-dental surgery worrying about missing the new films release.

Mariah Boyle’s mother uploaded the video to Reynolds Facebook page after her daughter became upset after having her wisdom teeth removed under sedation and thought that she had already missed the new comic-book films release in cinemas. The young fan sobs inconsolably to the camera as she imagines she has already missed the film – which has not been released yet – coming onto the big screen, saying ‘Deadpool. I didn’t see Deadpool!’

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds saw the video and decided to offer his condolences with tickets to the movies premiere. He even took a picture of himself with cotton gauze in his mouth as he empathised with Mariah. He added a note to the selfie; ‘Am I the only one who thinks the tooth fairy is a giant… stalker? I mean seriously, who leaves two tickets to the Deadpool premiere under your pillow?’ He also added a comment about Mariah’s mother’s casserole, jokingly asking her to bring some to New York when they visit to see the film.

Is Khloe following in the footsteps of her baby sister with lip fillers?

Fans of the Kardashian family are wondering whether Khloe Kardashian is following in the footsteps of her younger sister Kylie by getting lip injections to plump up her pout; the 31-year-old was spotted out and about in New York this week, showing off her new look lips.

The Keeping up with the Kardashians star defended younger sister Kylie who admitted that she had had lip injections when she was just 17 years old. Khloe seems to be showing signs of having her own lip injections lately and photographs show the difference over the past few years. Some followers asked her directly over Twitter if she had undergone lip treatment, although most of them were positive about the improvements.

Speaking on the show earlier this year, Khloe defended her teen sister after she admitted undergoing the procedure, saying ‘Kylie decided to plump her lips and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that… Sometimes things bother her. When it comes to her lips, I knew it was one of her biggest insecurities. She used to always take pictures covering her mouth.’

Brooke Shields shares scary selfie as she undergoes dental treatment

Brooke Shields has shown her sense of humour to fans and followers of her social networking sites; the actress shared a picture of herself at the dentist wearing a cheek retractor and she grinned, wide-eyed, for the camera. Although her teeth look perfect, Brooke is obviously seen sitting in the dentist’s chair, undergoing what is thought to be a dental exam, and she doesn’t seem to be scared about visiting the dental clinic in New York – or about sharing a picture of herself in a situation that may be slightly unexpected.

The actress can be seen glaring frighteningly at the camera whilst wearing the retraction device and a paper bib around her neck. Her teeth appear to be perfect so it’s hard to imagine that she’s going to need any form of treatment after her dental examination.

Fans were quickly wondering whether the mother-of-two is getting ready for a birthday party, perhaps to celebrate the big 5-0, which is coming up soon. Brooke said that she was ‘so excited’ about her upcoming milestone and she told NBC hosts on the Today show ‘I’m going to be hitting that big, beautiful birthday.’

Has Brandi Glanville overdone cosmetic surgery?

Reality star Brandi Glanville was seen out and about in New York this week and her surprisingly smooth complexion has raised more than a few eyebrows. The Real Housewives regular was spotted leaving the Big Morning Buzz Life studios on Tuesday and waiting photographers were shocked by the apparent change in Brandi’s appearance.

Back in February, Radar reported that Brandi had admitted to getting cosmetic surgery and said that she ‘had some Botox and bad fillers’. She also added that she has ‘overdone it at times’ but cited her age as the reason for her cosmetic treatments.  In another interview, Brandi added that she had spent $30,000 on surgery since her nose was broken in 2009.

The mother-of-two told Life&Style magazine that she has been getting facial injections since she was 25-years-old. Brandi said ‘I had Botox back in 2002. I… only do Botox twice a year now. I have that hollow area (in cheeks) injected with fillers. And I have acne scars filled sometimes.

Fans of the show may be surprised to hear of the amount money the reality star has been spending on her facial treatments, given that she has recently been complaining that she is struggling to pay her rent.

Kelly Ripa takes son for a trip to the orthodontist in New York

American TV presenter Kelly Ripa was pictured in a jovial mood after taking her son to the dentist for a check-up; the mother-of-three was photographed outside an orthodontic clinic in New York with her youngest child, looking relaxed and happy.

The 44-year-old chat show host shared a laugh with 11-year-old Joaquin as the pair left the clinic in casual winter outfits, huddling together to keep out the cold.

Later on in the day, Kelly shared a picture of the trip on her Instagram account, showing her son in the dentist’s chair. The photograph showed Joaquin smiling while wearing red protective glasses and a cheek retractor so that the dentist could see his teeth clearly; the youngster did not seem to be anxious about the dental check-up as he gave the thumbs up to the camera. The dentist is also seen in the corner of the picture wearing a surgical mask for the treatment. Although it is unclear exactly what treatment was taking place, Kelly also added the caption ‘It’s the mysterious Dr. Sherman and equally intriguing Joaquin attempting to have a conversation about braces’ suggesting that her son is about to start orthodontic work

Hilary Duff supports Smiles Across America

American singer Hilary Duff attended an event with New York school children to support the oral health initiative ‘Smiles Across America’ as it reached its ten year anniversary this week. The 26-year-old entertainer spent time with the kids at the Trident and Oral Health America sponsored event and tweeted about her outing later on.

Looking stylish in skinny jeans and bright red lipstick, the mother-of-one posted that she was ‘having the best time’ at the event and added the tags #healthysmiles and #sponsored.

Later, in an interview with Wonderwall, Hilary talked about how she was teaching her son Luca to brush his teeth properly and said that she sometimes has trouble if the two-year-old is ‘just in a mood or something like that.’ The singer said that she tries to make the task more interesting, explaining that ‘we try to make it fun and challenging, like sometimes we’ll be like, ‘I bet you can’t stand on one foot and brush your teeth’ or we’ll sing songs, and sometimes we’ll even get the kitchen timer out and do that. I just try to be creative and make it a positive thing.’

Expert discusses Khloe Kardashian’s changing face

Her sister Kim is well-known to dabble with Botox and dermal filler injections and now it seems that Khloe Kardashian has jumped on the cosmetic bandwagon to join her. New York based plastic surgeon Dr Steve Fallek spoke to about the 30-year-olds changing appearance and cast a critical eye over the apparent changes in her complexion.

Dr Fallek specialises in cosmetic treatment – including Botox injections – and he surmised that the famous Kardashian has had some work done; he speculates that Khloe ‘appears to have had lateral [injections] because her forehead is now firmer and her brows are in a new place.’ Although Khloe might seem slightly young to be starting with cosmetic treatments she seems to be taking preventative action against even the slightest signs of aging. Dr Fallek added that ‘You also see a disappearance of crows feet on the outer eyes; there’s definitely new firmness there’ and he said that he is not a fan of using Botox as a preventative measure before lines have even really appeared.

Compared to ‘before’ pictures of the reality star, it appears that Khloe’s complexion has become firmer and her eyebrows have moved upwards, where they seemed to be drooping slightly before – the website speculates.

Botox injections could be used to treat stomach cancer

New research has revealed that Botox injections could play a role in treating stomach cancer; the anti-wrinkle treatment slows tumour growth by blocking nerve signals that stimulate the cancer stem cells. Lab tests have shown that the toxin has proven to be ‘highly effective’ at suppressing the cancer in mice; early clinical trials are set to launch in Norway soon, following the promising results of the study.

Lead researcher Dr Timothy Wang, from Columbia University Medical Centre in New York, said that the study was designed to help the team ‘understand more about the role of nerves in the initiation and growth of cancer, by focusing on stomach cancer.’

The scientists found that ‘blocking the nerve signals makes the cancer cells more vulnerable – it removes one of the key factors that regulate their growth.’ Co-author Professor Duan Chen, of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, called the effects of the toxin ‘remarkable’ and added that the researchers themselves were surprised and excited by the results of their experiments with Botox. He added ‘We believe this treatment is a good treatment because it can be used locally and it targets the cancer stem cells. The Botox can be injected through gastroscopy (a thin tube inserted into the stomach down the throat) and it only requires the patient to stay in the hospital for a few hours.’
