Kim Kardashian spotted at Botox salon in LA

Reality star Kim Kardashian is no stranger to controversy, and the 31-year-old always makes sure she looks good when she’s caught in the spotlight; however, she was recently spotted leaving an LA Botox salon looking less than her best. The second-eldest daughter of clan Kardashian was photographed leaving the clinic with red blotchy skin, shortly before an appearance at the Valentino party, where she wowed crowds in a black and white ensemble.

It’s still unclear whether Kim underwent Botox treatment, but it has been suggested that it was merely a flare-up of her on-going skin condition, psoriasis; however, the salon she was seen leaving does specialise in Botox therapy. The TV celebrity is very image conscious, spending a lot of time in the public eye at fashion events and Hollywood premieres, and she has admitted to dabbling in cosmetic enhancements in the past. The treatment ended badly for poor Kim, as she suffered a rare allergic reaction to the toxin, which left her skin swollen and bruised. ‘I’m never doing this again…’ Kim told her family, adding ‘at least not until I’m forty.’

Although she’s not shy about her use of Botox, Kim is adamant that she has not gone under the knife to keep her good looks intact, telling nightline last year that she was ‘totally not against plastic surgery… [Botox] is the only thing that I’ve done.’

‘Real Housewife’ admits to Botox use

If you are familiar with the TV programme The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills, you should know that the reality stars are anything but ‘real’ and now one of them is openly admitting that she has had some work done to fight the signs of aging.

Socialite Brandi Glanville told Shape magazine that she was used to getting attention, both positive and negative, from the media and her fellow Beverley Hills housewives; ‘Having grown up modelling, I’m very self-aware of my physical appearance’, she told the magazine, before admitting that it was hard getting older whilst living your life in the public eye, ‘especially in this town, where everyone is perfect!’ she added. The Beverley Hills area of LA has long been associated with outward beauty, and Brandi conceded that the constant pressure of having to look beautiful is something that makes her feel ‘insecure.’

Later on in the interview, the 39-year-old revealed that she has dabbled in Botox injections and facial fillers, but warned others that they shouldn’t overdo it; ‘I think everyone should do what makes them feel good, but remember; less is more’.  Brandi went on to say that it used to hurt her when people ‘said horrible things, like I’m ‘plastic’ and I’m a bad mom [sic]’ but that over the years she has learnt to disregard negative press; ‘I know what they say isn’t true,’ she said, ‘so I’ve learned to not take it to heart.’

Lana Del Rey shows off bling for fans in LA

Despite her album jumping right to number one, Lana Del Rey has had a rough couple of weeks, ‘Born To Die’ received mixed reviews – some describing it as ‘dull’ and ‘dreary’, following a woeful performance on Saturday Night Live, that saw her mauled in the press by music-lovers and critics alike. But the twenty-five-year-old isn’t letting it get her down; she met fans outside Amoeba Music in Los Angeles, sporting a sparkly new tooth cap that certainly brought some extra bling to her normally toned-down style.

Only a few weeks ago, the ‘Video Games’ singer was seen in London, wearing a gold cap on the same tooth – perhaps she’s trying to start a new trend. Unfortunately for Lana, she’s not the first celebrity to try dental restorations, singer Kesha is often seen performing with a gold crown over one of her front teeth, and it seems to fit better with her party girl image. Lana’s skin tone and light hair meant that fans couldn’t help but notice the sparkly new addition as she posed for photos and signed autographs outside the recording studio.

Lana – whose real name is Elizabeth Grant – has recently appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and was appearing at Amoeba Music to perform some of her new songs, as well as to garner some publicity for her debut album.

Cindy Crawford raises eyebrows at sports event

Famous as a top supermodel in the eighties and nineties, you would think Cindy Crawford isn’t someone who has to worry about looking beautiful, but age catches up to everyone eventually, and the 45-year-old has often spoke about her love of cosmetic enhancement. The model recently stepped out with husband Rande to a basketball game in LA, with clear signs of Botox and dermal fillers.

Cindy’s cheekbones appear to have defied the years, instead of sinking and becoming flatter, they have beaten gravity and look fuller than ever. Cosmetic surgeon Nick Percival spoke to MailOnline and commented that ‘She has very well-defined cheekbones, which could suggest she has had some injectables to highlight these, and there appears to be no lines between her eyebrows, which could suggest she has had Botox in this area.’

There’s no denying that Ms Crawford looks good for her age, but there are obvious changes in her facial structure that are difficult to ignore. LA dermatologist Dr Behnam pointed out that she has the ‘triangle of beauty’, a facial alignment and proportion that is associated with youth, but he added that ‘she’s losing that triangle. It gives her that look of not being young anymore. Because that’s how we perceive youth, the triangle of beauty.’ However, not wanting to knock Cindy’s appearance, Dr Behnam added that ‘she still looks good for someone her age.’

LA doctor attacks French First Lady for overuse of Botox

When appropriately used, dermal fillers and Botox can turn back the clock and get rid of unsightly wrinkles, but clearly skin expert Dr Ben Behnam is in no mood to sing its praises, after he recently launched a scathing attack on France’s First Lady Carla Bruni for her over-indulgence in the treatment.

‘She has had way too much done’ Dr Behnam told The Daily Mail, ‘That’s why she has the surprised look on her face and she looks like a chipmunk.’ But the LA dermatologist didn’t stop there, he went on to say that the 44-year-old appeared to have had a lateral brow lift and dermal fillers injected into her cheeks to reduce wrinkles. ‘The tiny shadows you can just see beneath her nose were probably caused by injectable fillers to get rid of nose-to-mouth lines.’ He said.

The former supermodel is famed for her good looks and flawless skin, but according to Dr Behnam she is in danger of falling into the trap of looking like every other Botox-ed celebrity. ‘A lot of celebrities these days look the same’, he said, before giving Carla and her famous friends some advice on how to maintain a smooth complexion, without overdoing it. ‘What they should do is just do a little bit so it just makes them look like a younger version of themselves, rather than a 50-year-old trying to look 25.’

Has Megan Fox had dermal fillers?

Ever since her appearance at the premiere of her latest film Puss In Boots, rumours have been swirling around Hollywood about Megan Fox and her ever-changing face. It’s not the first time that the model-turned-actress has been the subject of speculation, but her plumper cheeks seem to suggest that dermal fillers have given her beauty a helping hand in recent weeks.

23-year-old Megan shot to fame in 2007 sci-fi film Transformers, catching attention with her shapely figure and flawless face. Four years later, Ms Fox is determined to keep her assets in tip-top condition and, according to LA plastic surgeon Brooke Barlow, has ‘definitely had some work done.’

Barlow suggested to Radaronline that Megan had received filler injections to her chin and cheeks, guessing that she had either had fat transfer treatment or dermal fillers. The surgeon said; ‘Where there was once a more defined [cheek bone], now she is round and full. Also, her naso-labial folds are non-existent, due to the fullness in her mid-face that lifts the cheek.’

The actress has taken to social networking site Twitter in the past to quash rumours of surgical enhancement, posting pictures of herself frowning to illustrate that her face had not been altered and commenting that they were ‘Things you can’t do with your face when you’ve had Botox.’ While most surgeons are not convinced, there are those who have suggested she has just gained weight since coming off a strict vegan diet four months ago.

Lindsay Lohan’s smile sparkles again after Zoom teeth whitening

After pictures recently surfaced in the press showing her stained, decaying teeth, it seems that Lindsay Lohan has decided to smarten up her image in the run up to her $1million Playboy photo shoot.

Lindsay was pictured at a red carpet event in LA at the beginning of October with brown stains on her teeth and dark areas that appeared to be decay setting in – although she didn’t seem too shy about displaying her smile to the waiting photographers. Showbiz websites were instantly rife with rumours about drug use and neglect, but Lindsay’s spokesperson was philosophical, saying that there are far too many serious problems in the world for reporters to be commenting on Lindsay’s teeth. Lindsay has just begun 400 hours of court mandated community service at an LA morgue.

With a fresh denial of drug use came a smile with a bit more sparkle, the Mean Girls actress underwent a Zoom! teeth whitening treatment that bleaches the stains and brightens dark enamel. Lindsay seemed to be delighted with the results, thanking Dr. Bill Dorfman – who appeared on popular US show Extreme Makeover – via her Twitter page, but complaining ‘My gums are so sore though!’

Although Lindsay’s keeping tight-lipped about any other procedures, there are those in the cosmetic dentistry world who are suggesting she has fixed her teeth with veneers or crowns, and not just a simple whitening treatment.

Katie Price lands in LA after dazzling teeth whitening treatment

Katie Price has had teeth whitening treatment.Anyone who may be concerned that teeth whitening treatment might not be effective should study OK! magazine's newest pictures of Katie Price.

The model was spotted at LAX Airport – where she had travelled to get her hair extensions redone – with a smile so dazzlingly bright it contrasted sharply with her black furry hat and coat.

"[Her teeth] seem to be getting whiter and whiter (either that, or Katie's tan is getting darker)," the publication speculated.

Price is believed to have had dental veneers fitted in 2008. She is also known to be a big fan of Botox.

According to the Cosmetic Dentistry Guide, it is a good idea to have a chat with a professional before having teeth whitening treatment in order to discuss what shade they will turn out.

Laser teeth whitening could turn teeth up to ten shades lighter and people with more stained smiles tend to see more dramatic results.

Katie Price: I haven’t had time for Botox lately

Katie Price says she hasn't had Botox for ages. Katie Price has revealed that she has not had Botox for several weeks because she just hasn't got around to it.

In an interview with ITV1's This Morning, the glamour model turned author and perfume creator said: "I haven't had Botox for ages and you can actually see wrinkles on me for once."

Price said all her time has been taken up with promoting her array of branded products including books and fragrances, as well as riding her horses.

However, she acknowledged that riding outside in the wind and rain could cause more wrinkles, so she may be heading back for more Botox soon.

Earlier this month, the celebrity was seen flying to LA on her reality TV show What Katie Did Next in order to have repairs done on her dental veneers.

She was found to have damaged them by grinding her teeth and was issued with mouth guards.

Katie Price has work done on dental veneers

Bruxism has caused damage to Katie Price's dental veneers.Katie Price had to return to her dentist in LA recently after requiring work on her dental veneers.

The former glamour model revealed on What Katie Did Next that they had come loose and the camera crew joined her as she flew across the Atlantic to have them repaired.

She was told that the problem lies in the fact that she grinds and clenches her teeth during the night, a process also known as bruxism.

Luckily, the damage was repaired and Price was given some dental guards to prevent any further mishaps.

According to the Bruxism Association, people aged 35 to 55 are the most likely to display problems as a result of grinding their teeth.

Women appear to be more affected by it than men.

Earlier in 2010, it was revealed that Price had flown all the way to Los Angeles in order to have Botox, despite it being available in London and the rest of the UK.
