Is Kim Kardashian getting teeth pulled out to look thinner?

She might be known for flashing the flesh but apparently Kim Kardashian is not feeling overconfident with her body at the moment, and it has even been suggested that the reality star has resorted to dental surgery in an effort to look thinner for the cameras. US gossip mag National Enquirer has suggested that the mother-of-two has asked her dentist to pull out her back teeth to make her face appear slimmer.

A source has spoken to the publication, saying that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star decided she needed ‘a quick fix’ as she was appearing at her husband Kanye West’s fashion show and felt it would make her look thinner in the face. According to the unnamed source, Kim went to her cosmetic dentist to have two of her back teeth removed in an effort to make the cheeks look narrower and have a slimming effect on the face.

This treatment has alleged to have been used by models trying to look slimmer in time for big shows and this is thought to be the latest attempt by the tv star to appear thinner at a moment’s notice. More on the story is featured in FAMOUS magazine, although other media sources are already claiming that the material is false.

Kim Kardashian says she won’t do Botox while pregnant with second child

Reality star Kim Kardashian has blasted rumours that she is still going for cosmetic injections while she is pregnant with her second child – a son, with husband Kanye West. Kim, 34, took to Twitter to defend herself after some tabloids suggested she was still getting Botox injections despite being several months pregnant.

The mother-of-one replied to a tweet saying ‘No I don’t do fillers or Botox when pregnant like some tabloids are reporting, you would have to be really sick to endanger your child like that!’ This situation is probably somewhat familiar to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star as the same rumours swirled when she was pregnant with her first child, North, who turned two recently.

Although tabloids have been quick to question Kim’s changing appearance, she defended herself saying ‘Anyone who has been pregnant or gained weight knows your face totally changes! My nose gets bigger, cheeks fuller & my lips swell up.’

Kim also went on to say that she wouldn’t be dying her hair until after she gives birth, as this is unhealthy for the baby. She told fans on Twitter ‘I loved it though so maybe in a year or two.  It was so hard on my hair though.’

Kanye West cites dentists visit for change in attitude

Kanye West has spoken to Paper magazine about his life and music career, and fans might be surprised to find that his outlook on life was changed by something as simple as a trip to the dentist. The 37-year-old said that he was ‘vibing out’ on nitrous oxide during one visit to the dentist and he cites this as bringing his life into focus.

He told the publication that this was his ‘version of Steve Jobs and his LSD trip’ and he found himself asking questions such as ‘what is the meaning of life?’. The rapper seems to have found the answer and he isn’t afraid to share it, he says ‘Then I thought; to give. What’s the key to happiness? Happiness. What do you want in life? When you give someone something, should they give you something in return? No. We don’t have to expect to be compensated by the person we give to. Just give.’

Whilst still under the influence of the gas, Kanye realised ‘it doesn’t even matter if I’m remembered’ and following the experience he found that he ‘had a completely new attitude on everything.’ Although he sometimes makes headlines for his outspoken ways, the father-of-one insists that all he’s trying to say is ‘Help me to help more! I’ve given all I’ve got.’

Kim Kardashian undergoes cosmetic treatment ahead of wedding

Reality regular Kim Kardashian has been getting ready for her upcoming nuptials in true Kardashian style, by undergoing cosmetic treatment – Botox and filler injections to her face and a fat-melting treatment on her lower body to get rid of cellulite. The mother-of-one is preparing to marry her fiancé, rapper Kanye West, in a spring wedding this May, taking place in France.

Kim previously said she would not have facial injections again after suffering severe bruising at previous treatments; the side-effects were documented on the reality TV show she shares with her family and Kim’s mind appeared to be made up about Botox treatment. However, she seems to overcome her fears and she’s taking the plunge again in a bid for perfection on the big day.

An insider confirmed that Kim was undergoing cosmetic work, telling In Touch Weekly ‘She’s already gotten more Botox and fillers in preparation for the wedding.’ The source added that ‘She’s obsessed with her face and loves looking like she’s permanently airbrushed.’

As well as facial injections, the Keeping Up With The Karhashians star has opted for some more invasive treatment to treat cellulite on her thighs and buttocks; the insider revealed ‘she’s been getting OptiLipo so her butt and thighs look their best.’

Kim Kardashian missing Botox during pregnancy

Reality star Kim Kardashian is reportedly missing her regular Botox and filler treatments as she cannot get the facial injections during her pregnancy. The 32-year-old is six months pregnant and according to a source close to the Kardashian family, she is not feeling the pregnancy glow that many women experience, instead she is worrying about her appearance and the fact that she is falling behind with her facial treatments.

The source told Heat magazine that Kim is ‘struggling with her new, natural image. She doesn’t look in the mirror unless she has to.’ For someone whose whole career is based on the way she looks, it seems like the reality regular is having trouble maintaining a natural complexion, although it is best for her and the baby that she avoids Botox and fillers, at least until she gives birth.

Heat reports that Kim is ‘letting nature take over, but she doesn’t think she looks as pretty,’ despite the fact that boyfriend and father-to-be Kanye West tells her she is beautiful to try and boost her self-esteem. Before she fell pregnant, Kim underwent a strict beauty regime which included regular Botox injections and lip fillers to keep her looking young, now she is worried that she looks like ‘the old Kim’ and tries to distract herself with visits to the gym, to keep in shape during her pregnancy.

Kim Kardashian reveals her main turn-offs include bad teeth

Given that she already has two failed marriages under her belt by the age of thirty-one, you might think that reality star Kim Kardashian would go against type and try and be a bit less superficial when it comes to finding real love, but no – the second eldest of the Kardashian clan is still all about appearances, according to a recent interview with Tatler magazine.

Whilst many of us would be turned off by things like bad teeth or dirty fingernails, Kim goes one further and suggests that big ears are also a problem for her, saying ‘Anything to do with bad hygiene (is a turn off), like teeth or nails or big ears. I’m really weird about stuff like that.’ Bad teeth probably aren’t a positive thing for most people, but Kim also added that size does matter – admitting that she wouldn’t be seen stepping out with a man who was shorter than her.

The rest of the interview focuses on Kim’s relationship with the many men she has dated over the years, as she opens up about her marriages and latest partner rapper Kanye West, who it seems is much more than a boyfriend to the reality star; Kim says ‘It’s so nice to have a best friend in this game who understands everything you’re going through. Being with someone I’ve known for so many years is comforting.’

Could dental fad become as popular as teeth whitening?

Would you prefer teeth whitening or neon gnashers?A fad from Japan could become the partygoers' equivalent to teeth whitening if it catches on in the UK and US.

Inventors created LED fronts a little like mouthguards as an experiment, but they were snapped up by a Japanese retailer to publicise a winter sale.

The products are fitted on to the teeth and light up in different colours when the wearer smiles.

They caught on with teenagers and young adults and are now being sported all over the country, with the manufacturers describing them as a "party in your mouth".

It is possible they could pop up in schoolyards in this country, presenting an alternative to teeth whitening for extroverts, but traditional cosmetic dentistry is likely to remain more popular in the long term.

This is not the first time a tooth-related trend has hit the headlines – cosmetic dentistry practitioners recently criticised Kanye West for having all his bottom teeth at the front replaced with diamonds.

Rapper Professor Green to have dental implants

Professor Green is trying out dental implants. Rapper Professor Green has revealed he is to have dental implants in a bid to correct his previously misaligned teeth.

The artist told the Sun that he had all his natural teeth taken out last year to be replaced with a bridge, but has not been satisfied with the results.

“I’m now going to get individual teeth,” he revealed in an interview.

However, Professor Green suggested his timing many not have been perfect for having cosmetic dentistry, adding: “Eating Christmas dinner is going to be a bit tricky.”

At least the singer is not going to such extreme lengths as fellow rapper Kanye West, who recently revealed on a US chat show that he has had all of his bottom teeth replaced with real diamonds.

Dentists spoke out to criticise him at the time, pointing out that it could cause long-term jaw damage as well as wearing away his top teeth.

Kimberley Walsh: West’s diamond dental implants look ridiculous

Kanye West's diamond dental implants look silly, according to Kimberley Walsh. Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has slammed Kanye West's decision to have his bottom teeth replaced with diamond dental implants.

Writing in her regular column for OK! magazine, the performer-turned-makeup designer said the teeth look "over the top and ridiculous", suggesting he may have more money than he knows what to do with.

"Teeth are so important and I think it looks off-putting," she added.

Walsh also said she would take to using a gum shield if she was him in order to avoid having the dental implants stolen.

West revealed his new look recently on the US chat show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.

Last month, an unnamed dentist from California told the Los Angeles Times that West's choice of dental implants may cause him problems with his jaw in a few years.

He also warned the rapper will see his upper teeth wear down much faster than usual.

Cosmetic dentistry like Kanye West’s ‘could result in serious damage’

Kanye West's cosmetic dentistry could cause lasting damage in his mouth.Dentists have spoken out to criticise Kanye West's recent revelation that he has replaced his bottom teeth with diamonds through cosmetic dentistry.

The rapper said on Ellen De Generes' TV show this week that he had had the work done because he wanted to look cool but didn't want to keep having to take the teeth out all the time.

He also insisted that the precious stones were set on permanent dental implants.

However, Dr Timothy Chase warned anyone intending to do the same that diamonds are very hard and should not be used on the biting side of a tooth, the New York Daily News reports.

Another dentist from California told the Los Angeles Times that West may struggle with oral hygiene and chewing, as well as potentially developing problems with his jaw and upper teeth.

"It will wear the top part of the teeth faster. In five to seven to ten years, he'll have damage on his upper teeth," the expert warned.
