Jeremy Kyle guest makes triumphant return after online bullying

Thu

The TV guest that set Twitter alight with hateful comments has returned to the show that sparked the abuse to begin with, and she’s done it with a set of new teeth worth £10,000. Gemma Swift was lambasted by social media sites and made fun of for her unusual dental condition – which stemmed from dental trauma she suffered as a child.

After seeing the abuse Gemma was exposed to, The Jeremy Kyle Show agreed to help by providing her with new teeth, thanks to dental specialist Lance. Gemma thanked the show, saying, ‘I’m a whole different person. It has changed my life.’ She added ‘I can look in the mirror again and not worry about anything.’

Gemma’s dental problems first started when she walked into a lamppost aged just six years old, and she suffered bullying at school as a result of the condition.

After such a venomous reaction the first time she appeared on the show, Twitter users were this time full of praise for Gemma’s transformation, calling it ‘fantastic’ and saying she looks ‘so much better’ than when she visited the show to talk about her abusive ex-boyfriend back in January.

Jeremy Kyle guest gets £10,000 of dental treatment

A woman who garnered a lot of attention on social media site Twitter for her unique dental condition has reportedly been given dental work amounting to £10,000 thanks to The Jeremy Kyle Show, the TV programme that exposed her to a lot of cruel taunts about her teeth.  The woman in question told papers that she suffered dental trauma when she was younger and could do nothing about the way her teeth looked, but producers of the ITV show have supposedly stepped in to help after Twitter went wild with jokes and comments about the guest’s appearance.

A source at Mirror Online has said that a camera crew visited the woman at her home and the whole treatment was filmed, with the patient remaining awake throughout. According to the insider, the guest will reappear on The Jeremy Kyle Show later in the week, to show off the results of her free treatment.

A picture has also been posted online supposedly showing the woman after her dental work has been completed – the difference is clear to see; her front two teeth are no longer protruding from her mouth and they do not look noticeably larger than her other teeth any more.

Jeremy Kyle guest causes Twitter storm with her teeth

A guest on daily chat show The Jeremy Kyle Show has set Twitter alight simply for appearing on the programme and displaying her rather unusual dental condition. In a segment entitled ‘Stop harassing me just because I’m sleeping with your ex’ the young woman attracted a lot of attention for her prominent front teeth and Twitter users were quickly on the social networking site to discuss it.

Rather than talking about her situation, commenters were concentrating on her large teeth and The Mirror reported that Twitter had all but gone ‘into meltdown’ following the airing of the Jeremy Kyle episode. In what could be seen as an outpouring of cyberbullying, posters referred to the young lady in question as ‘Bugs Bunny’ and joked that she was causing some viewers to be put off their breakfast.

One user commented that ‘Jeremy Kyle needs to stop wasting money on lie detectors and invest in getting a dentist for the show’, whilst another cruelly joked ‘surprised Jeremy Kyle ain’t got Colgate as their sponsor yet.’ The guest later explained that she had suffered a childhood accident that meant her teeth were badly damaged but that didn’t stop people voicing their opinions about her appearance in a less than sympathetic way.

In a strange twist, Geordie Shore’s Gary Beadle also got involved after someone posted a picture of the guest and added that she had tweeted the reality regular in the past. The Geordie Shore star laughed off the post, saying ‘No way!’
